Sadly, Bubble Machine I is no longer. The first of my Bubble Machines, it was produced in six weeks specifically for the 1996 Brisbane Festival Street Parade. After the Bubble Machine's initial and successful performance in the Brisbane Festival, it was exhibited at Gallery 482, South Bank's Festival of Lights Christmas Parade and LIVID.

Built entirely out of discarded electric wheelchair parts, BMI was suprisingly reliable. BMI was only recently scrapped after the plastic sphere disintegrated. Interesting that the only 'new' component was the one that let the side down!
